Kittens, 2

5/31 -- Grey's eyes are beginning to open.

5/31 -- Grey loves lying on his back while Molly massages his belly.

There's a video of Grey.

6/1 -- As the kittens got older they became more assertive in their eating. This is Blondie who weighs almost twice as much as when he was born.

6/4 -- Blondie's eyes opened a couple of days after Grey's. Blondie seems to be a bit slower in physical development but otherwise catches on things a bit quicker than Grey.

6/6 -- Grey's eyes are entirely open now. Both kittens have blue eyes -- the true color of the eyes won't be known for some weeks.

6/13 -- Almost two weeks after Grey and Blondie were brought inside, we moved them from the cat carrier to a much larger "cabana" that George built. The 4-foot tall cabana has screened sides so the kittens can't wander and has a floor size of 2 by 3 feet.

6/17 -- We weaned the kittens by letting them taste a bit of food on our finger.

We have been keeping Bobo and Kitty Boy inside since we first found the kittens. Both Bobo and Kitty Boy don't like the mother cat and have chased her off (we originally thought she was a traveling male cat). We are afraid they'd keep her from feeding the third kitten.

Both Bobo and Kitty Boy have been troopers, bearing up well, enjoying the coolness of the addition and the back screened in porch.

More kittens -- they're weaned.
